A Musical Performance |
During the war the arts were encouraged and army branches in the occupied areas held courses on creative writing, poetry, music, popular performance and drawing. Few Vietnamese works of this period focus on the bloody combat of war but instead feature sentimental landscapes, pastoral scenes and an evocation of the the type of universal camaraderie brought on by war. Painter Dao Duc was a graduate of University of Fine Arts,(Truong Dia Hoc My Thuat), Hanoi, "List of Year(s) of 'the Resistance,'" (Danh Sach Khoa "Khang Chien"), 1945-1954.
