In 1978, Pol Pot’s Khmer Rouge attacked Viet Nam at Tay Ninh, Chau Doc and Ha Tien. Their objective was to purge what had formerly been Cambodian territory of Vietnamese population. Hundreds of civilians were murdered in the most brutal manner imaginable. “To the Border of Cambodia.” “To Tie the Hands of the Exterminator.”
